Board of Commissioners Regular Business Meeting

Regularly scheduled meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm, unless postponed to a subsequent date by action taken at a regular meeting. Meetings are open to the public. Find the latest meeting information and watch meetings Live online at: Pursuant to Ordinance 2019-9, adopted by the Clayton County Board of Commissioners on February 5, 2019, the Board of Commissioners will hold regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in its Boardroom located at 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, Georgia, unless postponed to a subsequent date by action taken at a regular meeting. Meetings shall be open to the public. The Board of Commissioners may also hold such additional meetings as shall be necessary. Whenever any regular meeting of the Board shall fall on a holiday, the meeting shall be held on the following day. All zoning meetings shall be conducted at night beginning at 7:00 p.m. ZONING MEETINGS: The Board of Commissioners shall consider zoning matters as part of the Board’s Agenda of its regular meeting held on the third Tuesday of each month. For Immediate Release January 23, 2022 NEWS RELEASE Commissioner DeMont Davis to Provide a Warming Shelter (Clayton County)- Clayton County District 4 Commissioner DeMont Davis and friends to provide a warming shelter Sunday, January 23, 2022, – Friday, January 28, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m. each day. The warming shelter is located at Soy Events & Entertainment (SE&E), 6598 Tara Blvd., Ste. B, Jonesboro, GA 30236. “This was a last-minute idea that came to fruition,” said Commissioner DeMont Davis. “We are experiencing freezing temperatures and we need to help our displaced and homeless population. I am extremely proud of the community for coming together to assist in this time of need.” Food, water, a mask, a cot, and blankets will be provided while at the shelter.
