Board of Commissioners Regular Business Meeting

Regularly scheduled meeting on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 pm, unless postponed to a subsequent date by action taken at a regular meeting. Meetings are open to the public. Find the latest meeting information and watch meetings Live online at: Pursuant to Ordinance 2019-9, adopted by the Clayton County Board of Commissioners on February 5, 2019, the Board of Commissioners will hold regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in its Boardroom located at 112 Smith Street, Jonesboro, Georgia, unless postponed to a subsequent date by action taken at a regular meeting. Meetings shall be open to the public. The Board of Commissioners may also hold such additional meetings as shall be necessary. Whenever any regular meeting of the Board shall fall on a holiday, the meeting shall be held on the following day. All zoning meetings shall be conducted at night beginning at 7:00 p.m. ZONING MEETINGS: The Board of Commissioners shall consider zoning matters as part of the Board’s Agenda of its regular meeting held on the third Tuesday of each month. Good Trouble Virtual Town Hall

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE “Good Trouble Virtual Town Hall” (Jonesboro, GA- December 2020) The Clayton County Solicitor - General Charles Brooks is collaborating with Clayton County Public Schools and DJ Sturgess of V-103 Radio Station to bring you the Good Trouble Virtual Town Hall. This dynamic event is both a nod to the late John Lewis and an acknowledgment of the importance of social justice within the community. This town hall, the first of its kind in Clayton County will provide District 9 High School Students the unique opportunity to interact with community leaders like Deputy Superintendent Ralph Simpson, District 9 Board of Education Member Benjamin Straker and Clayton Solicitor–General Charles A. Brooks. Participants will have the ability to submit questions prior to the town hall and voice their concerns about issues involving social justice.
