Commissioner Dr. Alieka Anderson to Host
18 Holes for Heroes Public Safety Golf Tournament
Chance to Win $1 Million

(Clayton County, GA)-The Clayton County Board of Commissioners unanimously support the inaugural 18 Holes for Heroes Public Safety Golf Tournament, which offers participants a chance to win up to $1 million dollars, sponsored by Allan Vigil Ford. Join the hostess, District 1 Commissioner Dr. Alieka Anderson, on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 9 a.m. at the Lake Spivey Golf Club, 8255 Clubhouse Way, Jonesboro, GA 30236 for this spectacular tournament. It is a great opportunity to support our Clayton County public safety officers.

“We are grateful and proud of our Public Safety Professionals,” said District 1 Commissioner Alieka Anderson.  “We respect these men and women for their humble spirit, service, and bravery.”

Register for an opportunity to play:

  • Four-person scramble, best ball format 
  • Five-golfers get one shot at $1 million dollars
    • Men’s Long Drive Champion
    • Women’s Long Drive Champion
    • Three Raffle Winners (Raffle tickets available on tournament website or day of event)

Breakfast and lunch are provided with registration and sponsorship. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Shotgun start promptly at 9 a.m. All proceeds will be dispersed to the Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services, Police Department, and Sheriff’s Office.

A press conference is scheduled for October 31, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Lake Spivey Golf Club, 8255 Clubhouse Way, Jonesboro, GA 30236.

“Salute our heroes and peacekeepers who face daily challenges and obstacles,” added Anderson. “They continue to step forward for the betterment and safety of the community.  Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the understanding that something else is more important and indeed greater.”

“Thank you to the Board of Commissioners for making this initiative possible,” said Clayton County Interim Chief of Staff, Director Fire & Emergency Services Landry Merkison. “It is an honor to come together as a community and support our First Responders. So, come out and join the fun for a good cause.”
